Latas Surf: Northern Spain
Northern Spain is a stunningly beautiful destination with a rugged, green coastline that will take your breath away. Our surf camp is in Cantabria which is well-known as being one of the most beautiful coastlines in Europe. Northern Spain is also a great destination for beginner surfers as the coastline’s conditions are forgiving yet consistent. Latas Surf House has been recently renovated to provide beautifully furnished rooms that all have ocean or garden views. The house is only a 5-minute walk from the beach and also has a huge garden in for relaxing after a surf.

Moinho Surf Camp: Ericeira, Portugal
One of our favourite towns in Europe, Ericeira is draped across sandstone cliffs and renowned for excellent seafood and spectacular ocean views. The small fishing village is steeped in character and you will fall in love with its cobbled streets, whitewashed houses, narrow lanes and grilled sardines. There are some great surfing beaches for both beginners and advanced surfers which are consistent all year round. The Moinho Surf Camp has two beautiful villas which can each accommodate 20 people so ideal for large groups of friends or solo travellers looking to meet like-minded people in a friendly, laid-back setting. BBQ’s and yoga sessions are organised every week in the gardens, which are also the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Moliets Deluxe: South West France
Moilets in the South-West of France has long been famed for its beautiful stretch of coastline, decorated with a back drop of pine forests and famous for its party scene. Whilst being known as a surf camp party central, with the new edition of the Moliets Deluxe Surf Camp, there is now the option of relaxing in a quiet ambience, away from the more vibrant Moliets scene. Homely bell tents will a bed frame and memory foam mattress, electricity and lighting gives you the comfort of a hotel room whilst still enjoying the thrill of camping in the outdoors. Reading a book in a hammock after your surf lesson, listening to the birds in the beautiful surrounding pine forests is the perfect recipe for blissful and luxurious surf camp experience.

Surfer’s Lodge: Peniche, Portugal
Just north of the capital Lisbon, lies Peniche, famous for its long and fabulous town beach and nearby big wave spot Nazare. Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie waiting for Nazare’s famous winter swells or wanting to explore some of the nearby, more forgiving breaks Surfer’s lodge will provide you with a home away from home. With group rooms this lodge is ideal for a gaggle of friends or family. Recently renovated with all the mod cons the rooms are cosy and inviting. With a terrace with a pool and Jacuzzi, there is no better way to relax watching the sunset with a cold beer after a day’s surfing.

  1. Hi Georgie, as an avid surfer, I wish to affirm each word above. I don’t intend to show off, but honestly, I’ve been to each of them and surely, they are Europe’s finest. Thanks to guides at Tiny Whale: Lagos, Portugal in specific, I could learn so much, not only about getting in shape through surfing, but also about how the different muscles connect and work. I feel confident I have the skills to continue exercising on my own and the knowledge I gained from each of the outlined surf holiday sites will benefit both me and my family for the rest of our lives. I loved all the above stations during surf workout.
