Last summer Dominique went surfing for two weeks in Northern Portugal, in Praia da Tocha to be exact. We talked to her about her experiences with surfing, the nice people in the surf camp and what she did while there. Oh, and she certainly is mentioning the food at this amazing surf camp in Portugal.
Surfing in the North of Portugal
“I’m at the station, no idea what to expect from this surf camp.” The van arrives and immediately the atmosphere is good. It doesn’t take too long before we arrive at the surf camp. Your luggage is taken from the van and you are welcomed with the greatest smile. We get a welcome drink and are immediately shown around the beautiful camp (where you immediately imagine yourself to be in a different world). I can already see the surfboards and right away I feel like going into the water. I think: this will be two weeks of good times! ”

The surf camp in Portugal: activities
”Every day besides surfing, there are various activities such as yoga, making bracelets or volleyball, organized by the mega enthusiastic and pleasant team. Every evening is filled with a different evening program including quizzes, karaoke, film evening and so on. This way you spend a lot of time with the entire group and you know everyone in no time (even by name). Every week you get the opportunity to make a trip to Porto. Here they lead you through all the little streets and you and the group finish off with a snack and drink while watching a beautiful sunset. “

The surf camp in Portugal: surfing!
“And then I haven’t even talked about surfing. Of course the camp is all about surfing and you go into the water almost every day (which is quite cold by the way) to catch as many waves as possible. The lessons are given by passionate surfers and they convey that vibe to everyone. The lessons are well taken care of and they give you good personal feedback. If you’d ask me, this must be one of the nicest and best surf camp experiences in Portugal.”
”You need energy to be able to do all these activities. And let the food really be AMAZING, no evening has passed where I didn’t go for seconds! (Actually not a morning when I didn’t get a second breakfast, oops).”

” Surfing, creativity, fun this camp has everything. I can still tell a lot about it, but I would say, go and experience it for yourself! “
