Accommodation

The following accommodation types are being offered by this surf camp:

Safaritent - 6 people Example

• Where do you sleep? You will stay in a private tent with twin bed(s) or double bed(s). Suitable for 6 guests. Beds are made.
• Bathroom Facilities: Shared sanitary.
• Private room: This accommodation can be booked privately.
• In addition to the above: These tents come with a double bed, a bunk bed and 2 single beds, ideal for families. These safari tenst are spacious, leaving enough space for your luggage. In case you'd like a cod or babychair, please specify so in the comments, we will make sure it's ready upon arrival. The tent has it's own little terrace, there's electricity a wardrobe and a fridge available to just your family.

Tipi-tent - 4 people Example

• Where do you sleep? You will stay in a private tent with twin bed(s) or double bed(s). Suitable for 4 guests. Beds are made.
• Bathroom Facilities: Shared sanitary.
• Private room: This accommodation can be booked privately.
• In addition to the above: These spacious tipi-tents have a diameter of 6 meters and there are 2 compartments. The kids will have their own space, still leaving enough room in the tent for the luggage. There's also a fridge for your family you can use.

Beginners

• You have little to no experience and looking for some good teaching in order to kick-start your surfing carreer
• Best months: Jul, Aug.

Intermediate

• You have surfed before but still can improve on things like balance, pop-up and turning

The 3 surf lessons

• The 3 surf lessons: At this course, you will improve your surfing at your own level (beginner or intermediate). The lessons are taught by experienced surf coaches, using surf equipment in very good conditions. You will have 3 lessons, spread over 3 days, of 2 hours each.

The 5 surf lessons

• The 5 surf lessons: For the ones looking to really improve their surfing - also: beginners or intermediates - the 5 lessons might be your best pick. This course enables you to have more practice, while receiving more feedback. You will have 5 lessons, spread over 5 days, of 2 hours each.
• Suitable for: (1 star refers to not suitable, 5 refers to very suitable)

Families / Children

• Surfing for children: We offer surf lessons for children who are able to swim and min. 8 years old
• Safety: All teachers are certified, have experience in teaching to kids and have a Beach Lifesaving diploma. Safety first, always!

When and Where?

• The surf lessons will be planned according to the weather and wave conditions, so it's impossible to communicate the hours of your lessons prior to your arrival.
• The surf lessons take place at Praia da Amoreira.
• There won't be any surf lessons on the day of your arrival.

Surf equipment

• Surf equipment: When booking a surf package, a surfboard and wetsuit are included during the surf lessons and can be rented if you would like to do free surfing.
• Rental costs:
• Wetsuit only: € 49,- per week

Surf storage

• Surf storage: It is possible to store your own surf equipment in our storage.

What is there to do?

The activities below are available during most of the season. The add-ons which do not appear in the booking tool can be booked on location.

Activities

• Child Care: We aim at offering child care for kids from 4 years and up 3 times per week, proving the parents with an opportunity to relax, go the the beach or visit one of the nearby towns
• Did we say pool?!: Yes, that's correct. The camping has its own pool and that's always immensely popular, especially for the kids
• Ping Pong: There is a ping pong table as well, where kids will have fun until after dinner has actually started
• The beach: The beautiful beach of Amoreira is close by and it's well worth spending a couple of days just chilling and hanging about

Activities to add-on

• Yoga: Yoga and surf are well connected. Focus on your balance, physically and mentally. Also, yoga is a great way to relax the muscles after a heavy session of surf
• Surfing: You didn't come all the way to Aljezur to not surf, aren't we right? Opt for the 3 or 5 surf lessons (beginners or intermediate) or go to one of the many beaches yourself to practice some free surfing

Food & Drinks

You are recommended to opt for the half-board option. This comes with a daily breakfast and 5 truly delicious dinners. The meals are one of the best ways to socialize with others, where the parents can have a nice glass of Portuguese wine while the kids share their adventures of the day. Kids with the age 0 - 2 eat for free, kids from 3 until 9 get a 50% on the price. There are supermarkets nearby but the offer is not what you might be used to back home. There's a small kitchen present, mostly used to warm up a quick meal for the youngest members of the family.
