Following the news that May 17th still would be the date that travel seems to be opening up again for UK-citizens it is not clear yet what exactly will happen or will be allowed over the course of the coming weeks. Several high-placed travel bosses claim that the UK Government’s approach to resuming international flights is too cautious.

In a country like Portugal we’ve seen most of the surf camps opening up their doors early April with others following on May 1st. Errant Surf’s Olmo says: ”we’ve noticed an increase in bookings for Portugal, starting from the end of April. Especially with more people booking their holidays to Portugal, we expect the flywheel to be taking off soon for the summer months. Surf holidays in Portugal are looking to be in great shape.”
