We packed up the van and drove eight hours east, leaving our home in Newquay, Cornwall. Our destination was the ever popular Paddle round the Pier in Brighton south England.
What started as a bunch of mates racing their surfboards around the pier in Brighton has now turned into one of the biggest free beach festival’s in Europe. An estimated 40,000 people passed through the “village” this weekend. Everyone donated £1 to enter to come watch live bands, laugh at the “paddle anything” race and check out companies from all areas of the board sport and water sports world.
Pitch 36 became our home for the weekend, where we showed off our surfing holidays and our latest Errant Threads which will be launched officially when our new surf store goes live in the coming weeks.
A big thank you to Pete and Jack @ Ground Swell and David @ a1surf.com for helping tackle the gazebo!
Can’t wait for next year!
