The Surf Levels

Rapture Surfcamp Ericeira offers surf lessons on the following surf levels:

Beginners

• The beginner category is for those who have never surfed before, or who haven’t surfed in a while and want to go through the basics one more time.
• Best months: Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct.

Intermediate

• To be suitable for the intermediate classes you should be able to get up on waves on your own, have a strong paddling ability.
• Best months: Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct.

Advanced

• the advanced group you need to be able to drop in confidently on 3ft+ waves
• Best months: Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct.

Practical information

• The surf lessons are taught in English, Portuguese.
• The surf lessons will be planned according to the weather and wave conditions, so it's impossible to communicate the hours of your lessons prior to your arrival.
• The surf lessons take place at Praia do Lizandro, but it could also happen that we go to Praia do Matadouro, or Praia do Sul.
• Depending on your arrival day, there might be a surf lesson on the day of arrival. You will be notified on location.

Video analysis

• Video analysis: Only available for advanced surfers

Surf equipment

• Surf equipment: When booking a surf package, during your surf lessons and outside the surf lessons, guests can rent a surfboard + wetsuit.
• Rental costs:
• Wetsuit only: € 10,- per day
• Surfboard only: € 15,- per day

Surf storage

• Surf storage: It is possible to store your own surf equipment in our storage.

Nightlife

• Ericeira is popular and lively due to its great surf scene and really comes alive during the summer. Besides helpful locals and surfers as well as visitors from around Europe, you’re likely to run into plenty of weekend refugees from Lisbon’s workweek.

Food & Drinks

We love food almost as much as we love surfing. We offer international recipes as well as local specialities at our camps. Daily breakfast and dinner from Mon-Fri are included in the room rate. No need to worry about going hungry on your surf trip! Our menu contains a variety of dishes for meat lovers and vegetarians alike and we can accommodate all diets.

What to expect?

This is an overview of what you can expect in terms of food & drinks. When selecting your prefered package during the booking process, you will know exactly on how many meals you can count.

• Dinner: Included on most days.
