Surfing GB Given £10,000 Make Over
Over the last few weeks Surfing GB has secured an exclusive sponsorship deal with top London design firm Why Not Associates, worth over £10,000. The design firm is providing Surfing GB with a new brand identity which will capture the fun nature of surfing with the firm stamp mark of Surfing GB.
Surfing GB chairman Chris Thomson comments “This is one of many new projects and new moves for Surfing GB which we have in the pipeline and have been working hard on since the New Year.”
Thomson continues “Why Not Associates have delivered above and beyond the brief given and I am excited for people to see the new direction. The new brand will be launched in-line with the new database driven website, which will allow members to manage their memberships, enter contests online, and adjust details and much more.”
This good news comes one week after the announcement of two new, experienced executive members to join Surfing GB, Mike Thomas and Rob Whitney.
Mike Thomas is currently the Director of Cornwall Sports Partnership an organisation working to increase participation in sport and physical activity in Cornwall. The partnership specialises in working with sports clubs, coaches and volunteers to raise standards, co-ordinate activity and increase investment. Mike has over 25 years’ experience within the leisure industry having worked in the public, private and voluntary sectors.
Rob Whitney, chairman of Croyde Surf Club joins Surfing GB, with the full understanding of what it takes to engage surf clubs and youth development projects.
The new design concept is in its final stages and will be unveiled on the 30th June 2011 at the open conference in Exeter.
