Tis the season to… book Sri Lanka!

Sri Lanka has been the dream Euro Surfer’s escape since the 70’s and ever since the long war between the Sri Lankan military and the Tamil Tiger rebels ended a couple of years ago, traveling surfers  have slowly started to make their way to  the beautiful Indian Island.
This could be due to the fact that it gets the same swell as the Indonesian Islands (meaning picture perfect beachies), it’s cheap and easy to fly to (with Sri Lanka Air), you get a lot for you buck (think Bali 2008 prices), or simply because it’s culture-rich and stunningly scenic.
Whatever the reason for Sri Lanka firmly putting it’s stamp on the surf travelers radar, it is still a developing country trying to encourage tourism after the devastating Tsunami that wiped out the South West Coast in 2004, so we though that we’d play our part and give it a loud Errant shout out.
Luckily for you guys, November through to March is offshore on the West Coast breaks of Hikkaduwa and Midigama, meaning loads of good warm waves for beginner to intermediate surfers, flights are coming in at under £600 and we’ve got a whole variety of Errant approved places to stay at unbeatable prices.
So whether it’s the natural beauty of the Green Lodge, convenience of the Sunset Guest House that over looks the right hand point break in Mirissa, the relaxed vibes of the Beach Front camp, or the convenience of the Kabalana Surf Camp, make sure you get your own slice of the Sri Lanka pie before everyone else catches on…

To chat to a member of the Errant team about any of the above locations, just call 02081 336 438 or email Cheers, Max.
